Our Island Experience at Gili Trawangan, Lombok, Indonesia 👇🏾

Lombok is a really nice place to visit. The people there is nice and friendly. The beaches at Gili Islands is breathtaking with crystal clear water. Motor vehicles is not allowed on Gili Islands, thus you can choose your method of transportation either via :

1. Walking around;

2. Cycling; or

3. Cidomo (Horse Carriage)

Getting here and there at Lombok mainland is quite easy as you can rent a bike, car, or book a taxi or driver (supir) there. Depending on your budget, plan your trip well to avoid being a victim of scam or being charged unreasonably.

What to Eat in Lombok & Gili Trawangan ? 

There’s variety of Food options available in Lombok & Gili Islands. 

Its easy to find Halal food as majority of people there are Muslims.

However for restaurants, you need to check the Menu just to be sure that the food is Halal as some restaurants does serve pork as the owner might not be a Muslim.

Travel cost ?

BUDGET - Lombok, Indonesia 🇲🇨 

Flight: RM200++ per person (early booking)

Hotel: RM200++ per night (Ombak Sunset)

- hotel price varies depending on Hotel star, ratings ⭐️ & location (can check using Agoda or any online booking).

Transport:

✔️Supir Transport (Airport Transfer & Whole day tour) - IDR900k = RM260+-

✔️Fast Boat (Return tix) - IDR170k = RM49 +- 

- there’s a cheaper option which is Slow Boat (price IDR15 to 20k per person per trip).

Food:

✔️ Depends on what you eat ! The cheapest option is local dishes (i.e. “Nasi Campur” or Mix Rice) and the cost is around IDR15k = RM4.30+-

Rental, etc:

✔️Bicycle Rent - IDR50k per day (per unit) = RM15 *cheapest

✔️Local Sim 🇲🇨 - IDR55k for 12GB data = RM17 

✔️Cidomo @ Horse Carriage Ride - IDR150k = RM43 (per trip) *expensive

✔️Walk = FREE (around 4 to 5km to go around the Island of Gili Trawangan). 

**Note: Its not recommended to walk or cycle at night as its too dark. But alternatively you can take cidomo to the busy area if you stay at private resort or hotel at the back of Gili Trawangan Island.
